All about Ormside Mill!

On the first day we went to the top of the house and chose our bedrooms for the week, everyone chose a bedroom and a bed. After doing some team games and Mo’s drastic fall into the river, we decided to go swimming in the river. For dinner we had giant burgers and chocolate cake for desert. On the second day we went canoeing in ullswater lake, one of the biggest in England. Everyone kitted up in the embarrassing safety wear such as wetsuits, Helmets and buoyancy aids. Once we had canoed to the cliffs we did some cliff jumping into the lake. For dinner we had giant lasagne and fruit salad for dessert. On Wednesday we walked and climbed the 3rd highest mountain in England, Mt Hellvellyn. It took us most of the day to walk to near the top where we had to climb rocks to the top. For dinner we had six trays of all different types of pizza and bread and butter pudding for dessert. On Thursday we did rock climbing and Abseiling on a crag. For dinner we had a roast dinner with pineapple upside down cake for dessert. On the last day we had a treasure hunt in the O.M garden, we used special GPS’s to find the treasure (poker chips) The winning team was Amber, Daniel and Mohammed. The prize was a bag of sweets to enjoy on the train! After that we had to complete an obstacle course in teams which was very hard to do. We then went to get our train back to London, All in all it was a great trip.
