Red Balloon Merseyside Makes History

National Museums of Liverpool and Red Balloon Merseyside are also preparing a joint bid for funds from the Children in Need Appeal for a 3 year education research project where children from Red Balloon will be offered a series of exclusive visits and educational experiences including transport to and from the museum.The agreement is long term and includes free exclusive access to artefacts, educational events at the new Museum of Liverpool (opening July 2011) , World Museum, Walker Art Gallery, Merseyside Maritime Museum, International Slavery Museum and the National Conservation Centre.

Established in 1986, National Museums Liverpool is one of 12 national museums in England and Wales, and the only national museums group within an English provincial city.
