Red Balloon - Cambridge receives £3750 from Barclays Bank in cooperation with Cambridge News
In November 2010 Cambridge News published an article about various charities based in Cambridge – we were fortunate enough to be one of the selected charities. The aim of the article was to raise money from readers by collecting tokens over a period of time. Readers were asked to hand in these tokens at Barclays Bank nominating one of the charities featured in the newspaper. Each charity would receive 50p for each token nominated to their cause. Thanks to Emily Palmer who nominated Red Balloon – Cambridge, we have received £3750.
Jessica Lechner, Coordinator, was delighted to be asked to collect a cheque for £3750 in March. The money raised will go towards our annual trip to the Lake District, ensuring all students can participate.
