Red Balloon Cambridge choir had its first performance 24th March 2011

Students and staff at Red Balloon-Cambridge have been working together with Apollo 5 an acapella group part of ‘Voces Cantabiles’ since January 2011. Yesterday (25th March 2011), was the big day of our first performance at the book launch of ‘Rising above bullying’ a book written by our Founder and Chief Executive, Dr Carrie Herbert and children’s author, Rosemary Hayes. Students and staff from Red Balloons Norwich and Cambridge gave a wonderful performance and the audience loved it!  It was very exciting for our students to perform in front of a big crowd. Some of our students had the chance to meet the Red Balloon Patron, Esther Rantzen and Pixie McKenna. The photo shows two of our students, Stef and Stevie, together with Esther Rantzen and Andrew Gilfillan, Managing Director of Cambridge University Press. It was a fantastic event and a great opportunity for  our students to perform in public.
