Red Balloon launches 15th Anniversary at Speaker’s House, London

Red Balloon’s 15th Anniversary was launched at a special Reception held at Speaker’s House, within the Houses of Parliament, on Tuesday 16th November.

At the invitation of Mr Speaker, the Rt Hon John Bercow MP, more than 120 supporters and guests met to mark the occasion, which was sponsored by BT.

Gathered in the sumptuous State Rooms, overlooking the River Thames, the guests listened to moving speeches given by; Mr Speaker, Esther Rantzen (our Patron), John Stokoe (BT Global Services), Carrie Herbert (our Chief Executive) and Bea Edwards, a student at Red Balloon-Cambridge.

Moved by Bea’s harrowing accounts of life in mainstream school before joining Red Balloon, guests left having pledged continued or new support for Red Balloon.
