Norwich - New Head of Fundraising sought – voluntary post
Red Balloon-Norwich is looking for a Head of Fundraising to work with the Board of Trustees. We are seeking a local person to join professional teams in a voluntary capacity focusing on developing relationships with potential donors from the Norwich business community, local philanthropists, trusts and foundations in the East of England.
Expressions of interest are invited from individuals with successful experience of fundraising and a willingness to learn. Knowledge of fundraising, techniques and resources are required but additional training will be provided. The successful candidate will be able to lead other volunteers, have good written and verbal communication skills together with excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills.
Each Red Balloon Learner Centre has a turnover of circa £300,000 per annum and provides one-to-one small group teaching and counselling for children who have been so severely bullied they are out of school and missing an education.
95% of the children who stay at Red Balloon longer than six weeks are successfully recovered and return to mainstream school, go on to sixth form college or enter employment.
Appointments are for a minimum term of two years. The position is voluntary although expenses can be paid.
